UNIVERSAL s.r.l. designs and realizes electrical installations, ink-jet systems and software, and provides qualified technical assistance to the Group's clients. The company was created to design and realize the electrical installations for all the Group's machines, and to develop in parallel the software necessary to manage all the typical 'intelligent' functions for the envelope inserting sector, and today also the film wrapping sector.

Universal has developed a software system, PC-add, which allows the Group's machines to be perfectly integrated with all the ink-jet printers on the market, and which also controls the following 'intelligent' functions:
- read & write management
- selectivity
- matching
- bar-code reading, OCR & OMR
- in-line postalization systems
- management of production statistics

A software package, PC-regia, has been developed to control an entire system, where the installation may consist of more than one line. Universal is also involved in after-sales assistance to the Group's clients.
