In 1980 Giuseppe Ponti, with a profound knowledge of the paper machine industry behind him, founded his company with the intention manufacturing machines for this market sector.

From the start the company quickly dedicated itself to this sector, and then, in an even more incisive manner, moved into the mailing market, producing film wrapping machines. The technological structure, being large and versatile, is capable of satisfying the requirements of every client, with a deliberate accent on developing a solid partnership rapport with clients.

Mr Ponti has succeeded in transmitting to his employees his passion for technological development: "if you don't think on the large scale, but remain preoccupied with small daily difficulties, on struggles of costs, and don't aim for true quality and innovation, you will create your own problems".

With a perpetual program of refinement and improvement of the machines, the company has been able to develop winning solutions in a market in a state of continual and rapid evolution. Implementing technologically innovative solutions has reaped its rewards, manifested by, in some cases, awards, and evidenced by the numerous patents held by the Ponti Group. Mr Ponti's philosophy has been to unite under one parent company, the "Ponti Group", all of his companies which have flourished within their own sectors of activity.
