Ponti Engineering s.r.l. is the research and development centre for the Group. It provides qualified assistance in design, formation and consultancy in automation, electronics, software and mechanics. The jewel in the crown of the Group, it is made up of a mixed, non-profit-making society, founded in 1990 with the aim of providing a world-wide service of technological innovation through studies, designs and technological links in the field of industrial automation, applicable to various production sectors.

An important contribution provided by the society is professional development, where it aims to give newly-qualified young people and unemployed graduates a way into work, and re-qualify already employed people, creating professionals competent in advanced technology.
